Initiatives for Elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases

Eisai has been working to eliminate of lymphatic filariasis (LF), one of the neglected tropical diseases, since 2010. We provide diethylcarbamazine (DEC) tablets, one of the treatments, for free.

Mycetoma is said to be one of the most neglected tropical diseases since there is a lack of basic information including its transmission pathway and incidence. Eisai is engaging in the development of the first-ever mycetoma treatment and disease awareness activities in endemic areas through partnership.
