Promoting Global Knowledge Exchange through “hhc Initiative 2020”

On December 10, 2020, the “hhc Initiative 2020” was held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, connecting the Eisai Headquarters (Tokyo) with various countries and regions around the world. About 170 people from around the world participated in this event, including CEO Naito, Professor Ikujiro Nonaka (Professor Emeritus, Hitotsubashi University), Dr. Akihiro Okumura (Vice President, University of Shizuoka), Eisai Directors and Corporate Officers, in addition to senior managers and hhc managers from various Eisai subsidiaries worldwide.

 

 

There were approximately 600 entries from various countries and regions around the world for the “hhc Initiative 2020” this year.

Among them, 12 outstanding activity themes including the following were commended: Cross-organizational activities carried out promptly for providing assistance under the COVID-19 pandemic. An activity to develop a system that automatically calculates the amount of water required to dilute nutritional supplements through “socialization” with the mothers of children who need medical care on a daily basis, and directed the system to the general public. Activities to build an online communication system and financial support program for patients with liver cancer in China.
