Eisai Remains a Constituent of All Six Japanese Equity ESG Indices Adopted by GPIF

For 2026, Eisai remains as a constituent of all six Japanese equity Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) indices adopted by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), one of the world's largest institutional investors. Eisai has also continued to be selected as a constituent of the “FTSE4Good Index Series” and “MSCI Selection Indexes”, which are global ESG indices.
 
GPIF has adopted the following six Japanese equity ESG indices. These indices are based on different evaluation methodologies and themes, incorporating companies’ ESG-related initiatives and other factors.
 
・FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index
・FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index
・MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index
・MSCI Japan Empowering Women Index (WIN)
・S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index
・Morningstar Japan ex-REIT Gender Diversity Tilt Index
 
       
Eisai has been included in the “FTSE4Good Index Series” for 25 consecutive years since 2002, and in the “MSCI Selection Indexes” for 16 consecutive years since 2011.
 
Eisai has explicitly stipulated “contributing to a sustainable society with a long-term perspective” in its Articles of Incorporation, and is committed to addressing material issues and social challenges over the medium to long-term based on Eisai’s Future Creation Strategy, a sustainability strategy grounded in its human health care (hhc) corporate concept, with the aim of contributing to sustained corporate growth and the sustainable development of society.
