We express our deepest sympathy to the victims of the earthquake that recently struck Sulawesi island in Indonesia.
In response to this disaster, Eisai Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, CEO: Haruo Naito) has decided to offer a donation of medicines and aid supplies (worth approximately 8.1 million Japanese yen in total) through its Indonesian subsidiary PT Eisai Indonesia (Location: Jakarta, “PT Eisai”) to support medical activities for the victims in the disaster-stricken area.
PT Eisai has supplied medicines to Palu city, which is one of the affected areas, through Indonesia’s National Agency of Drug and Food Control. At the same time, PT Eisai will directly deliver medicines to medical facilities in Palu so that medicines can be available for use as soon as possible. In addition, PT Eisai will prepare aid supplies such as food, drinking water, clothing and blankets using donation money collected within the company for supply via the Indonesian Red Cross Society.
