Eisai Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, President: Haruo Naito) will launch on August 20th NABOLIN S, a tablet containing mecobalamin (activated vitamin B12).
NABOLIN S contains mecobalamin, which restores damaged peripheral nerves, and now contains folic acid to enhance this effect. The product was approval by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare in Japan for treatment of eyestrain. NABOLIN S contains vitamin E for improvement of poor circulation, vitamin B1 which supplies energy to replenish damaged muscles, and vitamin B6 for improving inflammation of peripheral nerves due to disorders in amino-acid metabolism. The combined action of these vitamins is a beneficial effect on nerves, circulation and muscles, and alleviation of lower back pain, shoulder stiffness, and eyestrain.
Eyestrain can be caused by optical nerve stress from excessive viewing of television or computer screens among other causes. A survey conducted by Eisai found that over 60% of people who suffer from lower back pain or stiff shoulders also report eyestrain. NABOLIN S is designed to meet the needs of these consumers.
