NHI (National Health Insurance) drug price revision
A drug price revision is a general review of drug prices conducted on the basis of surveys by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. For the revision, new drug prices are calculated based on “Drug Price Calculation Criteria” established by the ministry. As a general rule, a revision is conducted once every two years. Drug price surveys are investigations into the actual market prices by which medical institutions and other buyers purchase pharmaceutical products for medical use.
