Eisai offers internship opportunities in various disciplines

POSITION SUMMARY

These positions (3) will provide a unique opportunity to work within a corporate department at a major Pharmaceutical Company. Interns will be asked to examine and objectively analyze business processes within their assigned department. Based on these analyses, students will be expected to partner with their respective teams to recommend areas for improvement or more efficient processes. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: updating and improving aged account reconciliations, documenting or automating manual or outdated processes, and streamlining financial reporting procedures.

The Intern will also participate in all or some combination of the following duties:

  • Monthly/Quarterly departmental accounting close including all preparatory work
  • Monthly/Quarterly departmental financial statement (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet) consolidation process
  • AR/AP/Payroll related projects as assigned
  • Complex account and/or bank reconciliations
  • Analysis of departmental or corporate Financial Budgets and Forecasts
  • Special analytical projects including compliance, research and management reporting
  • Preparation, review and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual long term plan balance sheet and cash flow projections

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of sophomore year or equivalent in an accredited four-year college/university by the start of the internship program, with an intended BA/BS degree in finance or accounting
  • Minimal cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 40 hours per week over extended breaks
  • Understanding of basic finance & accounting concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
