EISAI TO DONATE $200,000 TO AMERICAN RED CROSS IN RESPONSE TO RECENT TORNADOES IN THE UNITED STATES

Eisai Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo; President and CEO: Haruo Naito, “Eisai”) today announced that, in an effort to help provide relief to those areas in the United States impacted by damage from the April tornado outbreaks, the company will be making a donation of $200,000 to the American Red Cross.

As a human health care company dedicated to improving the lives of patients worldwide, Eisai strongly supports the efforts of the American Red Cross to help those affected by this devastating disaster.

The donation from Eisai will be divided between local and national relief efforts. $100,000 will be given directly to the American Red Cross chapter of Research Triangle Park, NC, where Eisai's main U.S. manufacturing facility is located. These funds will be put toward providing specific relief to North Carolina residents impacted by the tornadoes.

The remaining $100,000 will go to the American Red Cross's national Disaster Relief Fund, which supports the needs of residents in states impacted by the tornadoes.

Eisai sincerely hopes that its donation and support will help with relief efforts to aid victims of this disaster and prays for the early recovery of the afflicted area.
